Lately we’ve had quite a few inquiries about handling photo shoots remotely. Luckily for our clients and us, we’ve been doing it for nearly 10 years.
Our Photography Process
Since 2011, we’ve learned a few things about handling remote photo shoots. Not all clients are the same–and not all remote shoots are the same. Our approach is tailored to your needs and is thoughtfully planned around your products, your availability, and your deadlines.
“An all day Zoom meeting, anyone?”
Why not–what’s another video meeting these days? While not ideal for most clients, logging in and being on set with us all day has definitely been an option for some. Our video feed is directed towards the set, similar to the camera angle, so you get a real-time view of how the shots are framing up.
“Can you text/email/call me for immediate approval?”
All of the above! This approach seems to work well for the majority of our clients. After an initial phone call with your team and ours–with your sketches/mockups in hand–we get to work. We’ll let you know an estimated time of when you can expect to see the next shot. We’ll upload and send you a link so we know when you’ve received and downloaded the file. From here, we text or jump on a call and discuss any final adjustments.
“Can we just come into the studio?”
Absolutely. Our team is following all CDC guidelines and practicing social distancing as much as possible. We have plenty of parking and are only minutes away from I-294, the CTA Blue line, and 97 short steps from the Metra. But who’s counting?
Give us a call if you have any questions or would like to learn more about shooting your next project, remotely.
